The Students' Union President, Akinbo Afolabi popularly known as Kempes, in a chat with Campus Mirror correspondent, revealed the reason behind the School Management's new method of registering for courses before hand.
He said that "there are cases of students registering for courses after examinations. Some even after seeing their examination score", hence, their results won't be uploaded as at when due or not even uploaded at all.
He added that the attitude that students place on their course forms is one of the reasons why the management decided to initiate the new course form registration method to avoid students complaining of not seeing their results at the end of each semester.
He also addressed the issues of examination results that some students couldn't see on their portal due to their course form last session. According to him, "we made room for students' complaint with the management as the DVC Academics saw to it himself by making himself available as at when rectification was on. Students were told to write their complaint and submit, the union, that is, the AGS, Welfare Director and myself see to that effect".
He added that if students are still having issues with their courses then it means they didn't do a good follow up concerning it. "I know quite a less population would have showed the normal careless and free attitude of not complaining to seeing to the corrections, those facing it then definitely didn't follow it up well I presume". He said.
He concluded by asking all media and publicity platforms to help spread the course form news to students by registering on time as "we (SUG) can't preach it alone. We are student and we are always at the receiving end".
