On Monday, 15th July, 2019, the Faculty of Administration and Management Sciences (FAMS) in a press statement signed by the Faculty President, Patrick Michael had stated that the Social Director of the Faculty, Adeosun Adewale (Bliss) has been sacked.
Bliss, a 200l IRPM student, who was appointed months ago alongside other executives confirmed his termination from the Central Executive Council of the Faculty in an interview with Campus Mirror
He alledged that the President had taken such action against him without the consent of other executives describing it as "disheartening and image tarnishing."
When asked if anything transpired between him and the President that could have led to such action be taken against him, he said "I think it was about the award events coming up, the awards broadcast message I sent out must have been the reason behind it, he wanted me to have probably told him before telling people to text me for awards or perhaps some things he has been keeping in mind against me."
He therefore revealed that his appointment has been reinstated adding that the Dean of Students' Affairs has resolved the matter. Further, Bliss declared to serve out his term.
"I am the Social Director and I am in the post to serve the student and not for any other unclear or selfish interest."
Meanwhile the Faculty President when contacted, had refused to disclose full details on why he terminated his appointment. He however said the action was taken for the "faculty interest". He further confirmed the reinstatement of Bliss's appointment.
